Arts and Humanities Faculty Mentor Award

The Council on Undergraduate Research’s Arts and Humanities Faculty Mentor Award recognizes exemplary faculty mentors of undergraduate researchers in the arts and humanities fields. Mentors are leaders and role models for those involved in undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative activities.

The award was established by a gift from Joyce Kinkead, distinguished professor of English, Utah State University and CUR Fellow, to recognize and illuminate exceptional mentorship of undergraduate research by faculty in the arts and humanities. The award also provides opportunities to share and celebrate the inspiring stories of awardees and their work with undergraduate researchers in arts and humanities fields.

Awardees receive $1000, a plaque to display the achievement, and recognition at an awards celebration with the CUR community.

The nominations window was October 13, 2025 through January 16, 2026.
