Virtual | February 9-10, 2027 | 10 AM – 4 PM ET each day

CUR and the National Grants Management Association (NGMA) are joining forces to bring you a reimagined Grant Dialogues—a two-day virtual professional development event designed to help you confidently navigate today’s complex funding landscape.

This refreshed program connects those who develop and mentor research with those who manage and sustain it, fostering collaboration across every stage of the grant lifecycle—from proposal development to post-award management and reporting. Together, CUR and NGMA are shaping a future where programmatic and administrative professionals work side-by-side to strengthen institutional capacity and maximize research impact. Who Should Attend

  • This year’s Grant Dialogues bridges a long-standing gap between those who write and those who manage grants. By bringing both audiences together, the event helps institutions build stronger, more sustainable research infrastructures and better support undergraduate research through shared understanding and collaboration.
  • Those faculty, staff, URP coordinators and directors, principal investigators, and administrators who are focused on developing, mentoring, and leading research and grant funded initiatives.
  • Those grant managers, business officers connected to grants, institutional advancement and development staff, and those from sponsored programs who are on the operational side of grants ensuring compliance, reporting, and sustainability

Key Objectives of Grant Dialogues:

  • Getting Started: Offer insights and resources for those considering new grant-supported projects or programs, focusing on identifying relevant funding opportunities and crafting compelling proposals.
  • Practical Guidance: Provide practical advice to enhance grant-writing skills and to ensure compliance, effective financial management, and robust reporting for awarded grants.
  • Support and Encouragement: Foster the motivation and support needed to successfully pursue funding and manage grants, including strategies for addressing challenges and sustaining momentum.
  • Collaboration and Network Building: Facilitate dialogue, collaboration, and networking among stakeholders, including faculty, sponsored research teams, and research officers, to strengthen grant applications and build a supportive community of grant seekers and managers.
  • Holistic Grant Management: Bridge the gap between pre-award and post-award teams, emphasizing the importance of alignment between proposal development and grant execution to ensure compliance and maximize impact.

Call for Partnership in Practice Case Studies
(Deadline July 31, 2026)

We invite case studies that demonstrate effective partnerships between those leading grant-funded projects and those supporting grants administration and sponsored research across the grant lifecycle.

We’re looking for practical, transferable examples that illustrate how strong partnerships helped move a project successfully from proposal development through award management and project implementation.
