William (Bill) Acree Jr, FRSC, FIUPAC, Professor of Chemistry at the University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton, TX, has been selected as the 2026 Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) – Goldwater Scholars Faculty Mentor Awardee.

Dr. John F. Barthell, Director of Undergraduate Research at the University of Central Oklahoma, has been elected to serve on the Council on Undergraduate Research Board of Directors as an officer in the Presidential Line.
