CUR Conversation: Incorporating Entrepreneurial Minded Learning as UR Mentors
February 25 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EST
Entrepreneurially minded learning can help support your undergraduate research students. Our resources, developed through the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN), are geared toward accelerating student research productivity through videos, activities, workshops, and a student-driven certificate program.
The materials support students at a variety of levels, from introductory material for first-year students (covering topics such as how to get involved in undergraduate research and find a mentor) to skill development for students already involved in research programs (covering topics such as literature reviews, abstract development, conceptual understanding of a research project, data visualization, and research dissemination).
The materials are flexible, with short videos and activities that could be used to promote undergraduate research in courses or orientation activities, as well as instructor guides and slides for 60-minute stand-alone workshops.
Panelists: Irene Reizman (Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology), Liping Liu (Lawrence Technological University), and Cassandra Jamison (Rowan University)
