This is CUR’s public Community Engagement Meeting, which serves as our annual business meeting and a moment to come together as a community. Led by the CUR President, this session will celebrate the work we have accomplished together over the past year and offer a transparent look at where CUR is headed.
On March 18, join CUR in a joint webinar with HigherEd+, during which we will be broadcasting our new professional development module: "Introduction to ChatGPT for Academic Research." Joining in on the course preview will give you a taste of the many other important courses available in our On Demand Learning Course Bundles.
The Silvia Ronco Innovative Mentor Award was established to recognize original and insightful research work by a young investigator working with undergraduates that has had significant impact in chemistry and the STEM careers of students involved.
This month’s topic is on undergraduate research annual reports and data gathering. The URP Divisional representatives facilitating this discussion will be from Purdue University, Christopher Newport University, and the University of Central Florida.
This webinar is hosted by the CUR Psychology Division and features a presentation from Dr. Virginia (Ginger) Wickline, the 2025 Psychology Division Mid-Career Mentor awardee. Participants will learn from her expertise and passion about the communication parallels and divergences between mentoring and counseling. Â
The Engineering Division aims to recognize both those who directly mentor undergraduate researchers as well as those who administratively enable the institutionalization of undergraduate research on campuses. The Engineering Division requests nominations for our mentoring and leadership awards:
- Early-Career Undergraduate Research Mentoring Award (ECURMA) – awarded annually, but recognized biannually.
- Undergraduate Research Mentoring Award (URMA) – awarded annually, but recognized biannually.
- The Leadership in Undergraduate Research Award (LURA) is awarded biannually on even years.
We are excited that you will be participating in NCUR and presenting your engineering research. The CUR Engineering Division would like to highlight your research! By completing this application, you are allowing CUR-Engineering to share your research video with the public. You will also be eligible to be recognized publicly and potentially receive a cash award.
The Biology Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) is pleased to announce a limited number of research supply grants, up to $500 each, to members of the Biology Division. These grants are intended for projects involving undergraduate students in which this small grant will make a big impact. Grant funds will be given as a stipend and do not need to be used during this fiscal year.
The National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all fields of study by sponsoring an annual conference for students. Unlike meetings of academic professional organizations, this gathering of student scholars welcomes presenters from all institutions of higher learning and from all disciplines. NCUR 2026 will take place in Richmond, VA.
